WELCOME TO STRANGE OAKS!

These last months we´ve been working on several projects that unfortunately we can not just share... on the bright side we´ve been also having some fun creating this piece. Here you have a little treat from your friends at Headless...       Welcome to Strange Oaks!

To produce this piece we needed loads of helps (you know to achieve that “extra dimension”) especially from our friend the great and multitalented Javier Verdugo. Also big thanks to Miquel Campos and the guys of Shed in Montreal and the generous people at Glasswork in Barcelona. Check their stuff it´s pretty amazing.

Also check out our new brand Headless Youtube channel we´ll try to keep it busy.

TIME TO SHARE...

We know, we know… during the year this blog hasn´t been the most active thing ever but we promise we are going to spin things around next year and show you some exciting new material. Pinky swear.

Meanwhile we want to share our humble contribution to the Spanish feature film TADEO JONES a couple of traditional animated tinny pieces. This is quite old for us but now that the movie is out we thought we could share it with you all.

Post you soon.

SUMMER SNEAK PEEK

Just so that you believe us when we say we keep developing new things, here you have a couple.

First one is an image from a 3D project we´re developing with the help of the incredibly talented Javi Verdugo and his magic 3D skills.

The second is a preliminary research for a bigger project that very soon we´ll share in more depth.

THE WOLF IS HERE!!!

We´ve been working really hard these last two months on the TEASER for a little project we´ve developed with Nectarious Films and the help of amazing artists: Maxim Mary, Adeline Grange, Baptiste Rogron, Benoit Tranchet, Julien Bizat, Fernando Abaca… dream team.

We presented it at Cartoon Movie and the response was really great. Now starts the tough part, try to find partners, distributors and all the rest so that we can produce the movie. Never easy but who wouldn´t like to see a happy bright movie in these times of greyness and pessimism, right?

“My family and the wolf” aims to be a love letter to childhood summers trying to evoke certain lights and smells and above all that, claim memories as the most valuable treasure.

We´re developing it along a brand new production company “Nectarious Films” and a bunch of french artists we are not worthy... it´s been a really great experience.

Here you have a little sneak peek but  real soon we´ll share the whole presentation.
More info to come...

The ghost of the Christmas past...

A little bit of Headless history:
More than 3 years ago we made a teaser for what would be Headless´ first project “The strange case of dad´s missing head”. It was our first piece as Headless (hence the name of the studio) and we did it with much love and the help of our regulars Julien Bizat and Pablo Navarro.
That was more than 3 years ago! Oh boy, we suddenly got dizzy…
The project still moving around trying to find some finance and although we have really cool people involved and everyone seems to respond positively, these days is not obvious to produce a movie.
But it´s not time for tears now! It´s Christmas and we thought “what the heck!” it´s about time to blow the dust covering it and show it to the world as a sort of end of the year gift to all the nice people that write us to tell us amazing things and all the friends that support us.

Happy Christmas from the three Headless!

THINGS WE´RE WORKING ON (II)

The Headless´ family is growing and we couldn´t be more excited to develop our babies with the help of amazing artists. We thank Alfonso Salazar for giving us his talent.
